This really was a sickener. So cruel for the lads to be robbed of a point in the 91st minute. Everyone worked hard and gave it their best shots. Not sure who got MoM....but Charlie...Lewis...and the inevitable Cousi must have been in the running....? Walsham defended in numbers and rather smothered our attacks.
Knowing as much about actually Playing football as Wayne Rooney knows about Nuclear Fusion....I'd humbly venture to suggest that we have a rather odd mix of styles/formation up front right now. Robbie is one of the most feared and successful strikers in the league......but needs through balls to run on to....Cubs is similar in that he's a highly skilled wonderfully balanced ball player who needs some space . Darren is a massively strong quick footed tricky hold up player and Billy is lightning fast and able to go past people with ease.....Somehow this mixture didn't gel on Saturday...and teams that defend in depth are always likely to nullify teams that rely on breakaways and speed. It looked to this humble observer as though we either need a tough...nippy little forward to feed off Jimmo...or a playmaking midfielder to set Robbie/Cubs/Billy free with good through balls.....Just one old codgers opinion.....wonder what others think?
