The Reserves travel to UCL side Wellingborough Whitworths on Saturday to play their first friendly.

We travelled there a couple of weeks ago and the pitch was in excellent condition, so should make for a good footballing game.

The side should have the majority of last season's squad playing although Max Mattless, Dean Joannou and Brad Fisher will be on holiday, Tom Spittlehouse is not playing as he is off to University and keeper James Barwick has moved to Ridgeons 1 side, Downham. Despite this I feel that we still have a very strong squad for the game, with some new faces.

Without having Barton Road available this season and the new Ground not yet ready, we are relying on away friendlies and hope to have another two or three confirmed shortly.
