What the hell is going on--You Pommies used to be the place to have good fish'n'chips---I've given it two goes (and disgustingly both on the same day) and both were crap. Since when was "frying new potatoes" an excuse for lousy chips?--now I dont want to get sued,so I wont mention the places I've been--but here's a tip--change the fat more often and have it hot enough and even the newest of spuds can make a chip----------I ate more fat than is spurting out of the ocean in the U S-----can some of you PLEASE give me your opinion on the best in the area--today I was told of a very good one in Fakenham----my chosen next venue though MUST provide brown, slightly chrispy chips--not soggy grey looking things

As you know Tony, I read the forum every day but just don't have the time any more to post! But when you are talking about fish and chips I just have to come out of retirement!!!! (I sooooo miss fish and chips) :(
I used to like the Jolly Friar next to Asda but not sure its the same since it burned down and had to be rebuilt? I like the chippy in Wisbech St Mary and there used to be a great chippy on the road out to Walpole St. Andrew soon after turning from the Lynn Road.
Above all others I used to love Vegas fish bar in Sunny Hunny but gather these days its more a kebab house than chippy :(

Vegas is still good, but they used to sell skinless-boneless cod, and now it's got the skin on again. Some folks don't like it. Franks on Lynn road was always good for chips but I haven't been there for a while. The place in norfolk street that used to be Boyalls does nice stuff and they are friendly too!

Try Doyle's at the Spithead in Sydney, excellent. If you feel like a walk with the Fish & Chips wrapped in good old fashioned newspaper you dcan also visit the nudist beach at Lady's Bay. If you want something really special then pay visit to the Walks at KL.

Whats actually at the Walks now? Will the new KL team be playing from there or has the stadium been turned into a Sunday Market?

Latina--you had your go--and you know what I thought of them, and at least one other--if you are talking about the ones under the pier at a certain seaside resort that doesnt really have a pier---well shove em--over priced and horrible--they are the ones that sent me on this rant---I found some good ones yesterday--at The Mumbles in Swansea--think I'll stay here---thanks for all the other tips--my grand tour of eastern englands fish and schip shops will resume on 7th august

Yeah they do fish and chips at the speedway and they aint to bad to be honest, dont think there is any fish and chips at the walks well I didnt see any when I went to the Norwich game, basically they have taken busters bbq from Norfolk arena and put it in the walks, not suprising seeming its the norfolk arena owner who has got Lynn out of trouble.
