The gate would have been 291but due to my wife’s family having a wedding in London on that day of all days I will not be attending this wonderful celebration of dedication to WTFC football club new stadium. Instead I will be accompanying my wife ( to save me from earache for the rest of the seasons games} in Canary Warf to a celebration of nephews dedication to his new bride.

So the gate will be 290.

I will have to wait until Tuesday the 17th before I can pay homage to the Tom Woods Stadium.

I hope that you all have a great day on the 14th and Spenny my phone will be n to forum site all through the wedding so any updates would be appreciated.

NO CHANCE, A 30%  INCREASE IN ADMISSION PRICES IS WAY ABOVE MY PENSION INCREASE. JUST HAVE TO CUT DOWN ON THE NUMBER OF MATCHES I ATTEND. I EXPECT A NUMBER OF PENSIONERS LIKE MYSELF ON A LIMITED INCOME WILL ADOPT THE SAME ATTITUDE. SORRY, BUT JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT.

You can't afford £21 more a year?  Perhaps you should volunteer as a match day helper and then you'll get in for free!

What did you expect the club to do?  I think 13 years is a very long time to have kept the prices the same and as I said, plenty of teams at this level charge £6 now and given the VAT rise in January, the club won't see 2.5% of this anyway!

i think the prices are fair but i do think all kids under 12 should be free not just one per adult i also mean kids coming down by themselves as if you don't get the youth of today interested in their home team now they will not be coming when they are a paying customer this needs to be looked at are children under 12 allowed in without a parent ?

There is a behaviour / safety problem with letting kids in, unsupervised, which is what happens when you allow them in for free without accompanying adults.

I think you will find that Brian is trying to create a similar message on here, that has been seen on the Kings Lynn forum, where their fans have said they won't be attending every match because they have put their prices up.

1. Lynn are charging more
2. They are in the UCL not the far superior Ridgeons league
3. They only rent their ground from the council, unlike WTFC so the Lynn fans are not building for the future, just paying rent.
4. Brian (Greengrass / Greendope / Buttons etc.) seems to be fine for ages, then does one of these postings, normally characterised by the use of all capital letters in his messages. I reckon it's a hormone imbalance!

Brian has been stirring on the forum for years!! But since meeting him,he has become more a man of musk than mystic. When the supportors club was first up and running, he was one of the first to join and offer his support. He did (if memory serves true) try to organise a golf event? So to be fair to the old t!t, he's not so bad.

do we not have stewards they should be able sort that problem out all it take is two florescent jackets with security on

Nope. Then there's CRB checks to be done. Dealing with kids is a minefield for any organisation. If an unruly 12 year old is being a problem, and a steward does so much as grab the kids collar to restrain him / her, then the club could be sued.
I hold an enhanced-CRB certificate which is renewed annually but that doesn't mean that I am any less liable to prosecution. Much easier to get the 'accompanying adult' and let them sort the kid out.

so then the club ends with the oldies that go to watch now
what is being done to make youngsters or familys want to come
i'm sorry to say it but a certain club up the road feels like a real family environment
where our club has lost that somewhere lets hope this is changed at the new ground
but that i doubt very much

Thanks for your support Mostin. Yes I did try to orgainise a golf day with ALL proceeds going to the club. I had arranged that all the green fees would be free, I could easily have raised around £2,000 for the Football club. BUT with a negative approach by almost everyone connected with the club I gave up. Players and backroom staff had no idea of what was required to play golf on a quality course. Basic things like shoes and clubs. So, before some people get all uptight just because I said what I think about the increase in entry fees for next season thay should think first. When you are all pensioners you will then understand that with just a basic pension you have to think twice about where you spend money. Had the Golf day gone ahead THAT ELUSIVE £2,000.COULD HAVE BEEN USED TO SUBSIDISE ANY INCREASE, TO HELP THOSE PENSIONERS ENJOY THEIR FOOTBALL.. I am not interested in what other clubs charge (yes including KL) I am interested in supporting Wisbech Town which I have done for over 50 years (dispite the banter we have about my dual support with KL). Finally I for one will not be going to Kl at £6 for concessions on a regular basis.

Maybe, maybe not. I asked and hardly anyone was interested at the time. The same is to be said of the coach trip to Wembley Stadium, we had just 3 people ask for tickets. The quiz night was well attended and we will be doing more of those at the new ground. The position / structure of the Supporters Club / Social Club is under review and until we know how things will be organised, nothing will be arranged, but thank you for your support which is appreciated.

Key 2

See what I mean Key2, until you get support from the club (afterall we try to do evrything we can for their benefit) it is a waste of time trying. However, I wish you well in your quest for perfection at the new ground. By the way has anyone seen or heard from Richard. Pic, you noticed the picture in the Citizen then. For example I raised just over £2000 for Charity. Watch out for more two big events coming up and a scoop Bryan Gunn (Ex Norwich player and Manager) has agreed to come along , present the prizes, and support another Charity Day. (ALL IN THE WORLD OF LOCAL GOLF) Sorry no more talk of golf, I will turn my thoughts to FOOTBALL.
