The Reserves face Leverington Sports at Outwell on Tuesday Night in the Semi Final of the Harry Overland Cup. The two teams should have played out last year's final, however the game was postponed due to heavy rain and ultimately could not be re-scheduled.

This is a repeat of the Semi Final played two years ago, when we came out on top after penalties (the game finished 1 - 1).

Hopefully we can get some good support for this fixture on Tuesday, KO 6.45 PM.

Semi-Final result

Leverington 0 - 2 Wisbech Town Reserves. McKenna 56 mins, Mattless 75 mins.

The lads put in an excellent all round performance to gain the 2 - 0 victory.

Despite dominating for large periods of the game, we had to thank keeper  Paul Sweeney for some excellent saves on his return in goal.

the first half saw Aaron McKenna, Kev smith and Curtis Knight go close, whilst at the other end Paul Sweeney saved well from Paul Shafer, who also had a goal disallowed for offside.

After 25 minutes, Sam Hanslip replaced Craig Ablett, who suffered from a clash of heads with Steve Thompson.

In the second half Paul Sweeney was again called upon and made a fine full length save, pushing the ball on to the post.

Aaron McKenna broke the deadlock when he ran on to a through ball to lob oncoming keeper, Adam Wright.

Max Mattless extended the lead with a good header from a Nathan Watson corner.

We now face Outwell Swifts on Saturday at 2PM KO in the final.

Team - Paul Sweeney, Mark Fysh, Sam Norman, Lewis Thompson, Max Mattless, Nathan Watson, Kevin Smith, Craig Ablett, Curtis Knight, Aaron McKenna, Sam Cubberley. Subs - Sam Hanslip for Craig Ablett 25 mins, Aaron Cooper for Aaron McKenna 80 mins, Not used - Jon Rowe, John Knight.
