It's only a narrow strip of earth cleared of foliage, but this marks the beginning of the work to build the long-awaited replacement to Fenland Park.
Norfolk County Counil contractors moved in on Monday morning and began clearing the area around the layby ready for the entrance to be built over the next couple of weeks.
Once the entrance has been completed, a culvert will be formed to bridge the dyke and work can then commence on the car park.
